Who said the models are the only one beautiful? In this post, Spot.ph has featured Top 10 Most Beautiful Fashion Designers in the Philippines.
Let’s start of with the 10th spot. ^_^
10. Tippi Ocampo
About Her and Her Fashion: Ruffles, tiers, and face-framing necklines mark a lot of Tippi Ocampo’s work, and so it’s only natural for the UP Fine Arts Cum Laude graduate (a competitor in the Councours Internationale des Jeunes Createur de Mode 1999 in Paris) to make her mint in crafting wedding dresses. Accustomed to making a bride look her most beautiful on her big day, Tippi herself shines with her childlike features and cute countenance. Her equally feminine personal style sits rightly with this, for a charming, approachable presence.
9. Patty Eustaquio
About Her and Her Fashion: An artist to the core, Patty styles herself in a smattering of prints, executed in retro dress silhouettes. It’s a fitting uniform, given her pixie cut and delicate, just-as-fairy-esque features. The thinking woman’s girl-crush is one to play with indigenous textiles, and conceptual themes, beyond mere ornamentation.
8. Yvonne Quisumbing
About Her and Her Fashion: From the last Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011, Yvonne Quisumbing showed feminine dresses in modest lengths and pretty configurations of fabric—pieces you’d want to wear to finagle girlfriend-material status. In the same way, Yvonne has the kind of beauty that is refreshingly undone. With almond eyes, and her strong lips and nose, the painter, illustrator and artist is a true Pinay beauty.
7. Rocio Olbes
About Her and Her Fashion: The somewhat-new bag designer’s clutches are arm candy for the girl-about-town, a fairly apt association, given Rocio’s mini-dress-clad, Brooke-Shield-browed, mestiza likeness. What’s interesting, though, is how she makes use of acacia wood to execute trend-based forms and finishes—a mix of classic and hip, which she exudes when wearing her babe-brigade uniform (short dress, sky-high shoes) out to town. Rocio bags have found homes in UK’s posh Liberty store as well as New York’s Saks Fifth Avenue, and recently, at retail giant Henri Bendel’s stores.
6. Rosanna Ocampo
About Her and Her Fashion: Draped jersey dresses and flirty cocktail numbers comprise a lot of Rosanna Ocampo’s made-to-order dresses, a fitting repertoire for the chinita woman’s easy, breezy beauty and resort-ready style. Milan-trained, Rosanna has a master’s degree in fashion promotion from Istituto Marangoni, and has been a mainstay on “To Watch For” lists since 2008.
